Ambulance Placements for Healthcare Professionals

Clinical Ambulance Placements for Healthcare Professionals
SOS Medical Services offers clinical placements for healthcare professionals (HCPs) in Guatemala CIty, Guatemala.
As a private medical company, registered with the Ministry of Health, SOS provides frontline emergency ambulance services, inter-facility transports and community primary care services.
For registered healthcare professionals, the placements provide an opportunity for continuing professional development, and cross-cultural learning. For students studying a healthcare professions course (EMT, FREC, nurse, paramedic), the supervised placements support portfolio development: clinical hours, supervised practice, reflective practice and an opportunity to discuss constructive feedback with a senior clinical mentor.
In recent years a range of HCPs and organisations have benefitted from our placements, including EMT, FREC and paramedic students, first responders, remote medics from media organisations, London Ambulance Service and medical students from UK, Slovakia and Singapore.
Clinical oversight is provided by our local Medical Director and the SOS Founder, a UK HCPC registered paramedic. Daily support and supervision is afforded by our EMTs, doctors and paramedics (registered with HCPC, AREMT, IPR and Guatemalan Ministerio de Salud).
